Hi Jim,
It sounds like you are planning a great vacation to Walt Disney World. Multi-generation trips can be so much fun! I am happy to help you think about possible accommodations for your stay. As a traveling party of six, you will not be able to fit into a traditional hotel room. If you were staying in a traditional hotel room, you would need to book two of them.
You could fit into a family suite, which are available at Disney's Art of Animation Resort and Disney's All-Star Music Resort. These offer two bathrooms and a kitchenette, as well as a main area and a bedroom. For sleeping, the main area features a table that converts into a bed as well as a sofa that pulls out. Both of these are double beds, while the bed in the bedroom is a queen-size bed. You mention that your children love water, and I have to say, the pools at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort are amazing!
If you would like a little more space and separation for everyone, consider the
Deluxe Villa resorts at Walt Disney World. Your party would fit comfortably in a two-bedroom villa, which would feature two bedrooms, at least two bathrooms, full kitchen, and living area with pull-out sofa and possibly pull-out chairs. These accommodations are spacious and offer some of the comforts of home. A couple of my favorites include Disney's Old Key West Resort, for relaxed comfort, as well as Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, for sleek and modern accommodations within walking distance of Magic Kingdom. While all Walt Disney World resort hotels have lovely pools, we really enjoy the pool at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort. My husband and daughter have also spent lots of time at The Game Station Arcade at Disney's Contemporary Resort!
Please do let us know if you have any further questions, Jim.
