What is the best way to get to a 7:30 am reservation at Trail's end from Port Orleans Riverside? Also, we have a 10 day Park Hopper, but will be there for 12. Can we add more days to our ticket after we have arrived?

    Hi Lori,

My family recently returned from a visit to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort during which we enjoyed meals at Trail's End a few times. It's a hidden gem of a restaurant. At such an early time, I think that your best bet for getting from Disney's Port Orleans Riverside to Disney's Fort Wilderness will be to take a cab. This will cost a little money, but the distance is actually pretty short so it shouldn't be too bad. The issue with taking Disney transportation at that time of morning is that Disney does not do resort to resort transportation, so you'd need to go to a theme park and then to Fort Wilderness. At that time of morning, there won't be many buses running to theme parks. Also, no matter if you take Disney transportation or a cab, once you arrive at the front of Disney's Fort Wilderness, you are going to have to take their internal bus system back to the Settlement area to get to Trail's End.

Typically you can add days onto your theme park admission; however, the longest ticket that Walt Disney World currently offers is a 10-day ticket. Since you are already at the maximum amount of days, you will not be able to add on days. You would have to start over and buy two-day tickets again. This is not a very cost-effective idea as the cost per day is highest for the first couple of days. I would suggest adding the Water Park Fun and More option to your tickets. This option will give you one "fun" visit per day, so if you have 10 days of admission, you will get 10 "fun" visits. These include Disney's Water Parks, miniature golf, and DisneyQuest. You can use these on separate days from your theme park days, so that would add a couple of days of fun to your trip. You could leave your tickets at 10 days and on the two extra days, visit places that do not require admission, such as Downtown Disney, or just spend a couple of days relaxing at your resort.

Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions, Lori!
