    What's the best way to register multiple family members for a runDisney event without risking the event being sold out by the time you have only registered one person?

    Hi, Sandra! 

    Thank you so much for your patience in my reply, I was hoping to find out if changes would be made with future registration opportunities - it appears there are no immediate changes. 

    Here is my advice in helping to ensure your entire party is able to secure a spot in their desired runDisney event. This is also the strategy I used to register my family of five for Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend. 

    • Be on the runDisney website a few minutes prior to Noon on the day registration opens to the public and keep refreshing the page until the blue button at the top right changes from "Email Sign-Up" to "Register." Then, select that blue link button. 

    • If your party is all adults, make sure each adult follows the directions above and registers themselves. If you will be registering any runner under the age of 18, enlist an adult helper to help you with multiple registrations and use different devices. I had to give my husband a list of who to register for what while he used the laptop and I used my iPhone. 

    • Have shirt sizes, birthdates and your credit card info handy to quickly work through the form and speed up checkout.

    • I suggest doing a mock registration for a race currently on sale (you'll be able to back out before you have to pay). This way, you'll be familiar with the active.com site and will know what to do. A lot of guests lose time at the initial sign in page when they don't have an active account and don't realize they can just select "sign-in as a guest." Races currently open are: Avengers Super Heroes Half Marathon, Star Wars Half Marathon, Walt Disney World Marathon. Select the blue register button to play around with registering.
