What is the best race for a beginner?

Hi Sue!  RunDisney races are perfect for beginning runners!
I would recommend that you start with one of the runDisney Family Fun 5K races.  A 5K is 3.1 miles long.  There are 5K races during every race weekend.  They are truly a family event, so there are runners and walkers of all different levels.  What makes the races so much fun is all of the "Disney Magic" along the race course.  There are Disney characters, lively music, lasers, lights, fireworks and so much more!
You can start with a 5K and then work your way up to one of the runDisney half marathons.  Half marathons are 13.1 miles long.  They are also perfect for all levels of runners and gives you even more time to enjoy all of the special touches that Disney offers with all of their race events.
Check out the runDisney website to learn about all of the races at Walt Disney World and Disneyland.
