Season's Greetings, Kathie!
Welcome to planDisney, we are so happy you found us! I am even more excited to hear that you will be enjoying an evening celebrating the holidays during
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. It’s such a fun event, I can't wait for you to enjoy it.
When my family attends evening events, we always plan for a big meal before heading to the party. For us, eating before the party allows us to spend more time enjoying the party rather than sitting down to eat during the party. Plus, we sure do love to snack. Our little ones are also very active, so getting them to sit down for a meal is challenging to begin with. They could probably go all day enjoying attractions with zero breaks if it were up to them. We originally had reservations before the party at
Steakhouse 71. We planned on dining there, then walking over to the party. That way, it was a guarantee they would eat before the party, since we would be in a resort, not the parks.
If you prefer to eat there once you arrive, our go-to is
Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn. The food there is our favorite, even on days the party isn’t happening. The best news is, they have added new entrees for the party! Our second favorite is
Casey’s Corner, which has also added some party-exclusive entrees to the menu. Come to think of it, a lot of the restaurants at Magic Kingdom have added incredible dining options and delicious treats! I recommend reading through the
Foodie Guide for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas list and creating your list of must-trys. At the top of my list is the Festive Pretzel from Main Street Snacks. Which isn’t an actual meal, but it does look delicious!
Kathie, I hope this helps answer your question so that you can enjoy a delicious meal before you party through the evening. If there’s anything else we can help with, please let us know!
‘Tis the Season,
Shantel
