Hi Cindi!
The
Fort Wilderness Resort is one of my favorite places to be when vacationing at Walt Disney World. We have a motor coach and we come every fall for quite a few weeks to enjoy the magic of Disney and the peacefulness of the outdoors.
It is hard to determine which loop is the best as each one has a good reason to be in the running for the title. My husband likes loop 600 because he wants open space for his satellite signals. But this is also the hottest loop with very little tree cover and it is a bit noisier with the sounds from Chip and Dale's Campfire coming across the pond each night.
Loop 800 is very popular as one side backs up to open wooded space where deer are often spotted. But it is also one of the longest loops and can get backed up with traffic. Loop 700 is very popular as it is shorter and closest to the marina and Pioneer Hall.
Loop 900 is one of my favorite as it is shorter but with many trees and seems more private then others. Loop 1000 is short but closest to the Trading Post and pool. I just find it way too open and noisy. There are two loops that are connected by entry and those are 1200 and 1300. If you have a larger RV some of the sites can be quite crowded in those.
Probably one of my favorite loops would be loop 1100. There are some great sites in this loop that are large and very private. But one thing you will have to consider about requesting a loop is that only a few of them are pet loops. If you are bringing your furry friends you will be restricted to only a few choices. Loops 600,700,800,900 are all premium and pet loops.
I hope I have given you some things to consider before requesting a specific loop. Once you have tried a few sites you will be able to make up your own mind on what loop suits your needs best. My top choices would be 700, 900, and 1100! Happy Camping!
