what is the best way to get from port new orleans riverside to contemporary resort

    Hi Carol,

Thank you for sending your question to us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  Traveling around Walt Disney World Resort is convenient and fun with complimentary transportation on property.

In order to get to Disney's Contemporary Resort from Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, you will need to take two modes of transportation.  Leaving your Resort hotel, simply head to the closest bus stop and take the bus to Magic Kingdom Park.  Most bus stops at Walt Disney World Resort Hotels now have televisions at the stop showing real time wait times for each stop.  Once you arrive at Magic Kingdom Park you have two options to make your way to Disney's Contemporary Resort.  First, you could choose to walk.  I will always choose to this option, I find it faster than taking the monorail, but not nearly as much fun.  Follow the clearly marked signs from the the bus stop to the walk way to Disney's Contemporary Resort.  Your other option is to take the Monorail, my daughter loves the monorail, and would prefer to take this mode of transportation, but I do find it takes longer than walking.  From the bus stop, follow the clearly marked signs to the Resort monorail stop, it is toward the left, while the walkway is toward the left once you exit the bus stops.

I hope that helps, Carol.  Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are always here to assist wit your planning.
