What are some of the best places to watch fireworks at MK and Epcot aside from ADRs in restaurants?

    Hi Jenn!

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!
There are so many great spots from which to view the fireworks and nighttime shows at Magic Kingdom and at Epcot.

In order to fully appreciate the Wishes fireworks, you ideally want to be out in front of Cinderella Castle (on the Main Street U.S.A. side of the castle) with a clear view of the castle. That being said, the typical viewing areas directly in front of the castle tend to be the most crowded. For a frontal view of the show, I prefer to head off to one side or the other. Over in front of Crystal Palace is one of my favourite spots - just along the little metal fence in front of the gardens. It's also a great angle for photos from over there! Another fun spot to view Wishes from is just across the bridge that heads into Tomorrowland. There are some rock outcroppings along either side of the walkway there. These provide a great 'seat' or place to lean against while gazing up at the night sky.

If you've seen the show already and don't mind watching the fireworks without the castle as a backdrop, over in front of Gaston's Tavern in New Fantasyland is another fantastic spot. Here, you'll feel like you're surrounded by fireworks! It's quite an amazing spot to view from as well - with a completely different perspective!

Epcot's IllumiNations can be viewed from so many wonderful locations. My family's favourite is in the Japan pavilion area - up on the 'balcony' or on the steps that lead up to Teppan Edo and Tokyo Dining. It's a beautiful spot from which to watch. A couple of other favourites include the bridge between the United Kingdom and France and along the waterfront near Mexico.

I hope these tips help you to discover your perfect viewing location Jenn!
Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World!
