Welcome, Francesca! I am delighted you are going to
Be Our Guest at Walt Disney World Resort this fall. You will be arriving right as the parks and resorts are decorated for the holiday season. It is such a magical time! Pull up a seat and let's dish about dining at the Most Magical Place on Earth.
Walt Disney World Resort has
a list of vegan and plant-based offerings throughout the parks and resorts and information on
special dietary requests to ensure Guests with allergies can enjoy the magic. On a trip this past summer with my niece (who is vegan and has nut allergies), she was thrilled to find so many restaurants had choices, and she could say, "I haven't decided yet." You can check the menu of any restaurant on the
My Disney Experience app. Scroll to the bottom for "Allergy-Friendly" offerings and you will find a list of options with super helpful descriptions. At each dining location, they will ask about any dietary needs and provide you with a menu with these same details to help you see what is available as you tie your napkin around your neck. The Cast Members are also very knowledgeable and quick to ask the chef if needed.
Sanaa at Animal Kingdom Lodge is an all-time favorite of ours. The Indian-Style Bread Service can be served plant-based and gluten-free. Trying the different breads and dips gets even my picky eaters to be a bit adventurous. My niece would recommend the Potjie Inspired – Harvest and the salad (the dressing is that good). Her favorite meal of all was the Sorceress Spell of "Tricken" Chicken at
Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. This whole dining experience was so amazing that we are staying at Wilderness Lodge on our next trip.
Within the parks, I was going through my list of favorite finds, but it turns out my panelist friend
Betsy shares similar
recommendations for vegan-friendly appetites. I love
Satu'li Canteen in
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and
Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen. I've heard so many rave reviews of the Falls Family Falafel that it's on my list for my next visit.
My absolute favorite discovery: DOLE Whips are vegan and gluten-free. The Swirl with the vanilla soft-serve is not vegan, but with this pineapple perfection, who needs anything else?
In addition to the standard options, you will be in the magic when they will have so many seasonal treats. Be sure to check out the
Disney Parks Blog as your trip gets closer for information on special events, displays, and snacks.
I hope you enjoy your time in the Most Magical Place on Earth, where a dinner here is never second best.
Happy Dining!
