Ahoy, Deanna! Thanks for cruising by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with this excellent question!
From one Ocean State resident to another, I can unequivocally say you have selected THE most magical combination ever, a
Disney Surf & Turf vacation! Embarking on a 7-Night Disney Cruise Line ocean voyage followed by a 3-Night stay at Walt Disney World Resort will enable you to experience the perfect balance of high-seas adventure and Disney Parks bliss.
My family also prefers to cruise first then do the land portion afterward. Any of the fabulous
Disney Resort hotels would be the ideal "castle" for your family's post-cruise stay. Each offers its own undeniably unique charm. However, to keep the nautical theming going well after debarkation morning, we usually choose to stay at Disney's Yacht Club Resort or Disney's Beach Club Resort. We absolutely LOVE the easy access to both Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios, as well as, spending time at the splash-tastic pool complex, Stormalong Bay!
You can add the land portion to your current cruise reservation, converting it to a
Disney Vacations by Land and Sea package. Simply contact Disney Cruise at (800) 951-3532. You will be required to purchase Tickets with the Park Hopper Option, while having the option to book ground transfers from Port Canaveral to the Resort.
You can reserve your Resort hotel stay independently too. This will allow you greater flexibility, such as taking advantage of Special Offers. You'll have to keep track of two separate reservations: the one for the cruise and one for the hotel. Personally, I say let Captain Mickey take care of the details. So, give his crew a call today!
Bon voyage!
