Hi Paula!
This is certainly an exciting topic to discuss as there is nothing more magical then a proposal at Walt Disney World.
Choosing the “right” time and place is truly a personal decision so there isn’t just one spot that is better then another. Some guests have taken advantage of a particular attraction that has special meaning to them to pop the question. Other romantics can’t stay away from the gorgeous castle in the Magic Kingdom.
My son opted to ask the big question while on a beautiful fireworks cruise on the Grand 1 yacht. He upped his budget to spring for this experience and had us all on board to celebrate after. We had champagne and cake and other treats and it was a most memorable time. If a
Specialty Cruise sounds interesting as an idea then you can also book a private pontoon boat with your own captain. You can arrange for champagne and cake or chocolate covered strawberries to be on board from private dining ahead of time.
You can plan the special event in the parks but do remember that you will be surrounded by thousands of strangers. Although once the question is asked they soon become your new friends as they all cheer for the newly engaged couple. For something more private you can arrange a cruise or even a moment during dining. My daughter got engaged at Disneyland and her husband to be arranged for a special cake to ask the question and be delivered to her at the table. It was a beautiful moment for sure.
So anything is possible and the list is endless. Simply ask yourself what part of the Walt Disney World property means maybe just a little more to the two of you and go from there to plan something very special. Check out what Disney can do to help you with their special
Fairy Tale Engagement ideas too.
