Hello Kelly! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney! When I am not answering vacation planning questions for Guests, I am serving as an elementary school principal! Kids, especially the little ones, need to get their energy out!
The best place for kids to spend their excitement is at a Disney Hotel Resort pool and play area! When my oldest sons were younger, they would actually beg for a day at the pool and play area so that they could just play all day! My youngest son still loves his resort days! He will spend all day swimming and playing in the pool area. Many of the Disney Resort Hotel pools have water slides that require children to climb a set of stairs to get to the top of the slide. My sons really stretched their legs with constantly going up the steps and down the slide! My wife and I sit poolside with a drink and snacks while we watch the kids tire themselves out.
Some resort pools also have play areas! For example,
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa has a great children's play area themed as the Mad Hatter! Every few minutes kids can look forward to having an oversized hat full of water come splashing down! Another great pool/play area is the pool at Disney's Yacht/Beach Club Resorts!
Stormalong Bay is a sand-bottomed pool with an expansive play area for kids to enjoy! This is a favorite in our family!
Kelly, each individual resort's website also has a
separate tab for "Recreation." If you haven't yet settled on which
Disney Resort Hotel to book your vacation, be sure to check out the recreational options available at the resorts you are considering! Here you will be able to find a variety of recreational activities that your kids can enjoy!
