Hi Ashley and welcome to planDisney! The world around us doesn’t stop when we’re at Walt Disney World. As an Eagles fan (Go Birds!) I try to catch a game wherever I’m at, including when I’m at
Walt Disney World. Now let’s tackle your question!
The best place to catch a football game at Walt Disney World is
Rix Sports Bar & Grill at
Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. No better way to cheer on your favorite team on a Sunday afternoon than with a seat at Rix with an order of Stadium Wings and a beer in hand! If you want a dedicated table for you and your family, you can make
advance dining reservations for Rix.
Alternatively, there are also a couple locations at Disney Springs that may also broadcast your favorite team’s games.
City Works Eatery & Pour House is another popular destination for sports fans. You’ll find big screen TVs and a variety of beers on tap to kick back, relax, and cheer on your team!
Splitsville Luxury Lanes also has a lively atmosphere to catch a game, and if you’re feeling active you can even bowl a few frames as you’re watching!
Finally, if your team is fortunate enough to have national television coverage, you can also watch the game from the comfort of your hotel room. I’ve done that a couple times as it’s the perfect opportunity to combine nap time for both of my daughters (just don’t ask me if I’ve woken them up from yelling at the TV after a bad call!). If you go this route, here’s a pro tip! Refill that popcorn bucket before you leave the parks and head to your room. I also like to grab some cold drinks from my Resort hotel’s shop as well.
Ashley, thanks for your question and before I leave you here I just want to also remind you of the
NFL collection that the Disney Store has. I love the way they incorporated various Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel characters to match each team! If you have any further questions about your upcoming trip, feel free to
contact me and my fellow panelists here at planDisney!
Your pal,
Sean
