Where is the best place to view fireworks on a night that we will not be in the parks?

    Hi Cheryl,

We love to watch Wishes Nighttime Spectacular which takes place at Magic Kingdom from the beach at Disney's Polynesian Resort.

This is such a relaxing way to watch this simply breathtaking fireworks extravaganza. The music is piped in and you have a fantastic view of the fireworks display from across the Seven Seas Lagoon.

Depending on what time Wishes is scheduled to take place, you may also be able to see the Electrical Water Pageant which takes place each day and should be passing the Polynesian Resort at approximately 9pm. The pageant consists of several barges each carrying a screen of lights accompanied to a selection of Disney music. It is what I would call a hidden gem and is very cute.

During our most recent visit to Walt Disney World we dined at the California Grill which is located at Disney's Contemporary Resort. The restaurant is situated on the 15th floor of the building and has a fantastic view of the Magic Kingdom. It also comes complete with an outside viewing area from where you are able to watch Wishes . The Wishes soundtrack is once again piped in to both the restaurant and outside viewing area and makes this a lovely alternative to watching the fireworks in the park. If this is something which you would like to do, I would recommend making an advance dining reservation at your earliest possible opportunity and ensure that your dining time will coincide with the display.

I hope that this has helped and that you have a lovely trip!
