What is the best place to stay for small children, ages 3, 5 and 7? I presume we will spend most of our time at the Magic Kingdom? I would like a place that has ease of transportation for afternoon naps or swimming. Also going in November .

Hi Cynthia! Finding the best resort to match your families needs is an important part of a Walt Disney World vacation.

I apologize for taking so long in getting back to you as I was sailing on the Disney Magic enjoying a different bit of Disney magic.

If your budget can handle the cost then I strongly suggest the  Polynesian Resort for families who will be visiting the Magic Kingdom often. It is located on the monorail line and has a wonderful ambience of being in the tropical islands. It is relaxing and fun for the kids to enjoy the pool and grounds. My second choice would be the next door neighbor resort which is the Grand Floridian Resort. Both will have similar amenities and both are located on the monorail. Getting to and from the Magic Kingdom will take mere minutes making afternoon naps very easy.

Just a few more minutes and a boat ride away is the Wilderness Lodge Resort. It is actually a favorite place for many of the Disney Parks Moms and Dads and it takes only a few more minutes to reach the Magic Kingdom as it is not on the monorail.

If your budget needs something a bit less expensive then the deluxe resorts then I would suggest the Port Orleans Resort. It is one of the many moderate choices at Disney and yet such a lovely and peaceful place to stay. You will need to use the Disney complimentary bus transportation to reach the parks but it really does not take that long and many would rather save the money to use for special dining or other things.

All of the Disney resorts are wonderful and the choice is hard!
