where is the best place to stay for older newly weds

    Hi, John! Welcome to planDisney!

It appears congratulations are in order! From the other question you sent us, it looks like you'll be tying the knot in just a few weeks. How exciting that you and your beloved have decided to begin your magical journey with a romantic visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!

My first choice for the ultimate honeymoon spot for those of us who are a bit more seasoned would be Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. It's a Victorian gem right on the shores of the Seven Seas Lagoon, and it just surrounds you with an air of elegance from days gone by. The soaring lobby is bright and airy, with the soft sounds of a grand piano to welcome you. The dining options are exquisite, and a stop in the lovely Beauty and the Beast inspired Enchanted Rose lounge for a toast to your love is a must-do. Plus, the Grand is just steps from the Magic Kingdom Park, and you have a dedicated monorail stop to explore parts beyond. It's practically perfect in every way!

On the other hand, to have the excitement of EPCOT just outside your door, take a look at Disney's Beach Club Resort, Disney's BoardWalk Inn, or Disney's Yacht Club Resort. They're all beautiful Resort hotels in their own right, with amazing details and fabulous dining, but there's nothing quite like strolling to EPCOT and having a glass of champagne on the streets of Paris to make your honeymoon feel just a little extra!

John, I'm so glad you stopped by to see us! I hope this helps you and your bride have a magical honeymoon at the Walt Disney World Resort. I wish you a life filled with faith, trust, and lots and lots of pixie dust!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

    Kathy K.

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
