Where is the best place to stay with Grandma? She wants to stay adjacent to our room.We have 2 adults, 1 teen and 1 child? We need 1st floor and a wheel chair some times. Looking for Moderate price.

    Hi Elizabeth!

There are a lot of Disney Moderate Resorts at Walt Disney World and there are a lot of fans of each of them.  However, I personally only recommend Port Orleans Riverside and Port Orleans French Quarter to guests, especially if they don't have a car.  The other resorts are very nice, but I think they are too large and if you don't have your own car, getting around them and the rest of Walt Disney World can be a little time consuming.

You can definitely get two connecting rooms at Port Orleans Riverside or French Quarter (or any other resort for that matter).  Between the two, I would recommend Riverside because of your teenager.  The main swimming pool is very nice at Riverside, while the pool at French Quarter may be too boring for him or her.

All of that said, it is easiest to get around Walt Disney World if you are at a Magic Kingdom monorail resort, especially if you have a wheel chair.  That's because from such a resort you have easy access to the Magic Kingdom, and via a monorail transfer at the Transportation and Ticket Center, access to Epcot as well.  A wheel chair can easily roll on and off the monorail.

I hope this helps!  Enjoy planning your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and please write back with more questions!
