Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Rocco ~
As a Mom with a son with mobility disabilities, I love to see that you are planning ahead.
Wheelchair rentals are available at all four of the theme parks, both theme parks, and Disney Springs. The rental locations are near the entrances to each park. At Disney Springs, look for the rental location at Sundries near the Coca-Cola Store. The locations are shown on the link I've provided.
The daily fees are the same at all of the wheelchair rental locations. However, Guests renting wheelchairs at one of the water parks and Disney Springs are required to pay a deposit that is refunded at the time the wheelchair is returned. If you need to rent a wheelchair for more than one day, you can save a little money on a Length of Stay rental.
Wheelchairs may not be removed from the destination where they were rented, but you only have to pay once per day to rent a wheelchair. If you plan to visit more than one theme park during a day, you can show your receipt at the wheelchair rental location in the next theme park to get a wheelchair there. This is based upon availability as there are a limited number of wheelchairs.
Wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis and reservations are not accepted. If you are visiting during a peak season, I would recommend arriving early.
If you feel that you would need to use the wheelchair outside of a theme park, there are several Orlando-area companies that also offer wheelchairs rentals. Pre-orders and deliveries to Walt Disney World Resort hotels are available through these providers. You can find a suggested list of local companies on the link provided above.
Please feel free to visit us again with all of your planning questions. We are hEAR for you!
Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
