Hello Kara,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I love it when guests are thinking through every detail of their vacations. You are clearly making sure you have every detail taken care of.
When it comes to parking at
Magic Kingdom Park you do have two options,
Parking and Preferred Parking. With regular Parking where you will follow where the parking Cast Members guide you to park. Once you have parked your car, you will walk to the end of the row. If you are close enough, you can simply walk to the Transportation and Ticket Center. If it seems a bit far, just wait a moment and a tram will appear to transport you.
With Preferred Parking, you will pay an additional parking fee and be directed to the Preferred Parking area. This area is closer to the Transportation and Ticket Center.
Once you reach the Transportation and Ticket Center you will have two more options. You can choose to take
Monorail Transportation or a
Ferry to the Magic Kingdom Park. My family enjoys the Monorail but if the lines are very long we always look to see if the Ferry is a better option. I do like crossing Seven Seas Lagoon on a Ferry and watching Cinderella Castle come into focus.
Kara, thank you for visiting us with your question. I hope this information helps with your planning. I also hope you'll let us know if we can help you with any additional planning questions.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Amy H.
