Where is the best place to park with the easiest access into the park when it is raining, staying for only 4 hours for dinner, and have little kids?

    Hi, Deborah!

As a fellow Californian and mom of three little ones, I can relate to your question! We often stay at the Disneyland Resort for about five hours at a time during our weekday visits. That’s one reason I love having our Annual Passports – we can enjoy our time at the Parks without feeling stressed if we don’t achieve everything on our must-do list.

As for parking recommendations, a convenient parking option, especially on a rainy day, is the Mickey & Friends Parking Structure. The parking lot trams will transport you directly to the Disneyland Resort Esplanade. Rainy-day bonus – the security checkpoint and tram loading areas are both covered!

Another option, if you’re planning to spend your time inside Disneyland Park, is to skip the parking lot tram, and instead follow the walking path toward Downtown Disney District (about a five-minute walk). Once there, you’ll go through a security checkpoint, then head to the Downtown Disney District Monorail Station. After boarding, you’ll enjoy a pleasant ride that will transport you directly to Tomorrowland.

Lastly, if you’re only planning on spending time at Downtown Disney District, you can park in the lot adjacent to it. There, you can enjoy three free hours of parking with a minimum purchase from any Downtown Disney location, or up to five hours of parking with validation from any Downtown Disney table-service restaurant. Our favorite family dinner spot is the newly-updated Naples Ristorante e Bar. Not only is the food delicious, but it’s also kid-friendly – complete with a balloon artist some evenings!

    See ya’ real soon!
