where is the best place to see midnight fireworks on new years eve? we have park hoppers and plan to spend most of the day in epcot. also will the parks be giving/selling new years attire?

    Hello, Jaclyn,

I know you must be excited to spend New Year's Eve at Walt Disney World Resort! Although you will find merchandise with the 2017 logo such as shirts, totes pins and even desserts available, you may want to bring your own New Year's Eve party accessories like fun eyeglasses with the year or party hats. We did this one year and had so much fun.

This year, three theme parks will be ringing in the New Year with pyrotechnic displays: Disney's Hollywood Studios, Epcot and Magic Kingdom. The Magic Kingdom Park will offer Fantasy In The Sky at 11:50 P.M. on both December 30 and 31. I suggest making plans to see those December 30 and being at Epcot on December 31 for the New Year's Countdown Fireworks at 11:40 P.M. These are my favorite fireworks shows and should not be missed! Since you plan to be at Epcot, you may want to take advantage of New Year's Eve at Epcot World ShowPlace with a Disney-themed buffet dinner.

Even though you have an admission ticket with the park hopper option, crowds tend to increase as the day goes on. Keep that in mind if you plan to park hop, and do so early in the day. I hope this helps with your planning and you enjoy the pyrotechnics as much as I do!

    Happy New Year!
