Hiya, Dave! Welcome back to planDisney! I'm so glad that you've stopped by with such an oh-so-fun holiday planning question for us. I just love chatting Disney with my pals, pal!
Before you know it, you'll be arriving at The Most Magical Place on Earth, ready to begin your magical adventure. How exciting! Of course, no holiday to
Walt Disney World Resort is complete without a hug from the one who started it all - Mickey Mouse. I, too, LOVE meeting Mickey Mouse in his classic tuxedo, and his Sorcerer's Apprentice ensemble is my absolute favorite! So, I'm thrilled to answer your question today to help you meet Mickey in his finest.
One great place to meet Mickey Mouse in his traditional black, red and yellow tuxedo is at "
Meet a Favorite Pal at Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival" located next to the Imagination! Pavilion in World Celebration in EPCOT. It seems as if not a lot of other Guests know about this meet-and-greet location, because we found that there were usually very short wait times, regardless of the time of day. Just be sure to check the schedule for the times right before your trip. While I can only view times through the end of this month, he currently meets from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and then from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Since the wait times for this meet-and-greet don't seem to get too long, I suggest visiting any time during those hours.
My absolute favorite place to hang out with Mickey Mouse is "
Meet Disney Stars at Red Carpet Dreams" in Disney's Hollywood Studios. Here, you will meet Mickey in his amazing Sorcerer's Apprentice outfit from Fantasia, as well as his best girl, Minnie in her dazzling Hollywood finest. Since you get two incredible character interactions and really great photo opportunities, the wait times here can definitely get long. So, I suggest meeting them early in the day, as close to park opening as possible. Again, be sure to check the schedule for times, and as your trip approaches, check to see if this meet-and-greet is being offered as a
Genie+ Lightning Lane selection. The Lightning Lane selections are always subject to change, so, check for available selections right before your trip. If Red Carpet Dreams is offered, I'd suggest adding Genie+ to that day's ticket and selecting this meet-and-greet as one of your Lightning Lane selections to spend less time waiting in line and more time hugging everyone's favorite Mouse.
I hope this was helpful, Dave, and I hope you get the biggest hugs from Mickey Mouse! I suggest that you bring some tissues ... I must admit that the first magical Mickey hug since hugs have returned is an emotional one. Please stop by any time with any holiday planning questions you may have along the way.
I hope to see ya real soon,
Mandy
