Where would be the best place for a large family to stay?

    Hi Angela,

Welcome to planDisney! I am so excited to hEAR that you are bringing your family to the Walt Disney World Resort! Planning a trip with a large group demands some patience. I admire your fortitude and am so glad you are planning early!

There are several Disney Resorts Collection hotels that might suit your family. The three-bedroom Grand Villas can sleep up to 12 people and are amazing. Disney's Riviera Resort, Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, and The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa all have three-bedroom Grand Villas. Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa also has Treehouse Villas that can sleep up to nine adults. If you are looking for a resort hotel with fantastic theming, consider Disney's Art of Animation Resort. The family suites can sleep up to six adults and they have two bathrooms. The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort might also be an option. They can sleep up to six adults.

As you consider the resort hotel, also think about other amenities. We prefer resort hotels that are within walking distance to one or more theme parks. On our most recent trip, we stayed at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and loved the walking path to Magic Kingdom. We also adore resort hotels with access to Walt Disney World® Monorail Transportation.

In addition to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and Disney's Contemporary Resort have access to the resort monorail. Not only are these resort hotels close to Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, they all have fabulous dining options. On our last trip, we dined at Kona Café at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort on several days and just walked there from Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

If you have not done so already, download the My Disney Experience Mobile App. I use the mobile app to check for advanced dining reservations, to review my plans, and check expiration dates on our theme park tickets or Annual Passes. And now, we can use Disney MagicMobile service for park entry.

Angela, I trust you will pick the resort hotel that is best for your family and book a vacation package that suits your needs. Keep your eye on the Special Offers as well. As it gets closer to the dates of your trip, there might be a special offer released that is applicable to the dates of your visit!

    Magic and memories,
    Donyell
