what is the best place to go for a special dinner for our anniversary that you can do with kids we are looking for something fancy?

    Hi Jodie,

Congratulations on your upcoming anniversary!  Disney's signature restaurants are a great venue to celebrate a special occasion.  You should feel absolutely comfortable taking your children with you, as Disney does a great job at accommodating them at even its finest restaurants!  In fact, my kids love the children's menus at many of the signature dining establishments, especially the desserts.  At Yachtsman Steakhouse, for example, they recently had a chocolate puzzle that they had to assemble and then "paint" with strawberry, chocolate and pineapple sauces.  How cool is that!

Some of my favorite signature dining choices include:

    • Jiko at the Animal Kingdom Lodge (this is my current absolute favorite.  The food is amazing and the wine list comprised of South African wines is incredible!)
    • California Grille at the Contemporary (a well-timed meal here will afford you a prime view of Wishes a the Magic Kingdom)
    • Artist Point at the Wilderness Lodge -I love the desserts here!
    • Yachtsman Steak House at the Yacht Club - after an amazing steak dinner, we love to take a stroll along Disney's Boardwalk, where the restaurant is located and enjoy some great entertainment.  If you eat earlier in the evening, you can also walk over to Epcot to enjoy Illuminations.

If you'd like a sneak peek at the menus at any of these or other signature restaurants, I'd recommend logging onto the independent website www.allears.net and select "dining" from the home page.  Have a wonderful evening out!
