Best place to have dinner for son's 7th birthday?? He is very picky eater but DH & I would like a place with good food. Son likes most of the characters...looking for something fun but not too loud.

    Terri:

Unfortunately, fun at Disney most of the time = loud... However, here are a few restaurants you can consider:

    1. Teppan Edo: Our 6-year-old son loves to eat hibbachi as much as he loves the chefs entertainment! Best of all, while your son is laughing at the onion volcano, you and your husband can enjoy seared scallops, shrimp, and filet mignon!
    2. Biergarten: One of our family's favorites at Epcot, I still laugh when I see my youngest get out on the dance floor for the Chicken Dance. There's a buffet that's heavy on the meat and potatoes, a winner with most, and plenty to offer your son.
    3. Garden Grill and Liberty Tree Tavern: If you have to celebrate with a character meal, these aren't as noisy as the ever-popular (and ever-loud) Chef Mickey's. The reason may be because the meals are served family-style. He'll have a chance to see Mickey and the Gang at Liberty Tree while Chip and Dale along with Mickey and Pluto await at the Garden Grill.  Fellow Mom Diane L was delighted when cast members sang happy birthday to her daughter at dinner at GG last year! She ordered a cake from Disney's cake hotline at: 407-827-2253.
    4. T-Rex or Rain Forest Cafe: Kids find themselves mesmerized by the animatronics as the glacier storm rages at T-Rex and the rain pours at Rain Forest. I actually enjoy these restaurants as much as my children--for the menu. The Balsamic Chicken Pizza appetizer and french onion soup were as good as I remembered when I ate at T-Rex last month. We celebrated our son's 5th birthday with their Chocolate Extinction dessert (complete with dry ice)!
    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
