Best place for dinner on July 4th to dine and have dinner

    Hi Liz! Welcome to planDisney!

Oh boy! I'm sure you are starting to get excited about your upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! The Fourth of July is such a fun time to be there and celebrate the holiday. In years past, both the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT would put on special firework displays on this night. Since the phased reopening, these shows have not returned to either park. Walt Disney World has not made any announcements about this year, but I think many Guests are hopeful for some great news. I suggest checking the Disney Parks Blog for any news and updates! If they do not return, each of these parks should still put on their regular nighttime spectaculars so there will still be a firework display to enjoy.

If firework viewing is a priority for you on this night, there are two wonderful restaurants that offer a great view if you time your reservation just right. California Grill sits at the top of Disney's Contemporary Resort and has the perfect view of the Magic Kingdom. The food here is incredible and the service is top-notch. The other restaurant is Topolino's Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera, which is located at the top of Disney's Riviera Resort. You have an amazing view of the EPCOT fireworks from here. Topolino's Terrace has been a welcome addition to Walt Disney World and is in every way the perfect counterpart to California Grill. Again, the menu has so many delicious choices to choose from that you will not be disappointed with any decision you make.

Based on their locations, reservations at these restaurants will be tough to book. I suggest looking into Kona Café or 'Ohana, which are both located at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. I've eaten at both locations on numerous occasions and always have a wonderful meal at each one. 'Ohana offers an all-you-care-to-enjoy dinner that includes the 'Ohana Bread Pudding for dessert. I would pay the price for this meal for this dessert alone! The best part about dining at either of these restaurants is that you can head out to the back of the resort and watch the Magic Kingdom firework display from the white sandy beach. The Polynesian Village Resort will pipe in the music from the show and you get a great view over the lake.

Liz, I hope these recommendations help you make your decision for dinner on the Fourth of July evening. There are so many great choices that you will not go wrong with anyone that you pick. Have a magical time during your holiday visit!

    See ya real soon!
