Hi there, Ward! Welcome to planDisney! Looks like we're taking on one of my favorite subjects today: food at Walt Disney World! Pull up a chair and let's chat over a nice meal, shall we?
Okay, this is cheating a bit, but the best place to dine at the
Magic Kingdom Park really will depend on your own taste. I tend to go more for classic fare, so I love menus like the one you'll find at
The Crystal Palace, with cornbread muffins, fried chicken and mac 'n' cheese, and a southern-fried cauliflower that sounds divine! Another great experience in the park is
Be Our Guest Restaurant, where you feel like you're dining in the very ballroom that hosted Belle and Beast for their iconic dance in
Beauty and the Beast. The menu is French-inspired, but also includes items that will please less adventurous eaters.
Speaking of adventure, if a dining adventure is what you're looking for, the
Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen will take you on a gastronomical tour that includes dishes like Curried Vegetable Crew Stew, "Hardy Har Char" Siu Pork, Dr. Falls Signature Grilled Steak, and Perkins Thai Noodles.
And there are lots of quick-service options that my family loves, too! If you're looking for a bite on the run, try
Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe for southwestern favorites that will fuel you for the rest of your Disney day!
So, how do you choose? I'd peruse the menus and see what might appeal to your family, then see if you can
make a reservation for the day you're visiting. If you can't grab one, you can try the
Mobile Dining Walk-Up List in your My Disney Experience app and hopefully get a time to try the meal of your Disney dreams!
I hope this helps you narrow down your choices at the Magic Kingdom Park, Ward. Happy dining, and please come see us again if you have any more questions!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
