Hi there Sara, I'd like to wish you a very warm watery welcome from a fellow Canadian to planDisney!
Hailing from the East Coast, I imagine you have some experience with aquatic adventures out on the water, but there's also nothing like spending a sunny day under the Florida skies drifting along a lazy river. Between the two of us, my husband is the
Water Park fanatic who has convinced me more and more to dedicate a day to
sliding down the slopes of Disney's Blizzard Beach or lounging by the water listening to a chorus of screams in the air that signal the approach of wild, oncoming waves at
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park.
Since you're looking to only visit a Water Park on a single day during your vacation, the easiest and most straightforward way to do so is by purchasing a
1-Day Water Park Ticket. Currently you can even benefit from additional savings by selecting the option with Blockout Dates, if you're not planning on using your ticket between May 27 to October 1, 2023.
For many of our family and friends visiting Walt Disney World Resort with a desire to include Water Parks as part of their stay, I would often recommend upgrading their tickets to the
Park Hopper Plus Option due to the flexibility that this offers over the course of their stay. Personally, in our experience the
Water Park and Sports Option has given us the greatest value overall in saving us money - but only if you intend on taking advantage of the Water Parks and recreational activities like a rousing round of
Winter Summerland Miniature Golf following a day at Disney's Blizzard Beach.
One last thing to be aware of: on our most recent visit, only Disney's Blizzard Beach was open and there is still currently no official word on a reopening date for Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park. For now, I would recommend keeping an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for any upcoming announcements, and enjoy all of the new fun,
Frozen-themed additions to Tike's Peak if you get a chance!
You're always welcome to
come back to planDisney to ask me any more questions that you may have about your upcoming trip down to Walt Disney World Resort.
From one ocean to another, I'll leave you with a bit of sage advice bestowed upon me during my time living Down Under: always remember to
Slip, Slop, Slap. Slip on a protective layer of clothing against the sun, slop on the sunscreen and slap on a hat and you'll be ready for your next aquatic adventure!
