Hi Brenda! That is such a great question to bring to planDisney! There is a special joy that comes with bringing little ones to the Walt Disney World Resort! Five years old is a great age to visit (but, to be honest, I still love visiting with my teenagers too)!
While there is SO MUCH fun that can be found in all four Disney Parks for a five-year-old, I suggest a visit to the classic…
Magic Kingdom Park! You’ll find a wide variety of attractions and entertainment for your little Mouseketeer!
Great attractions such as Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, Peter Pan’s Flight, “it’s a small world,” Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid, The Barnstormer, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, the Haunted Mansion, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Mickey’s PhilharMagic (my favorite), The Magic Carpets of Aladdin, and so many more, are all waiting for your little one to enjoy!
Additionally, there are opportunities to meet some of your favorite characters throughout the park, and take in entertainment such as the Festival of Fantasy Parade and the Happily Ever After fireworks spectacular!
Brenda, depending on how tall your little one is, they might be able to enjoy other attractions such as Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad! I’m including a
helpful link to all the height requirements for Magic Kingdom Park! It’s a great planning tool! So, get out the tape measure to see how the little one measures up! I hope you enjoy a magical visit!
Happy Planning!
