Best way to pack lanyards/pins? Carry-on or checked bag? Will the pins make it through airport security? Kids want to take pins for trading. Don't want to end up losing them if we can't get them through security in the carry-on. Thanks!

Hi there Alice!  I am laughing right now because of something that recently happened to my husband in the Los Angeles Airport!

He had his HUGE book of pins inside of his carry-on backpack and as we expected, his bag was flagged for search.  The TSA agent who was charged with performing the bag check asked him if there was anything sharp in the bag, and we just giggled.  We watched as opened the bag and pulled out the pin collection along with a stuffed Dumbo and Mickey Ears!  I even took a picture of all of the items laid out on the table, because it was so funny that something as innocent as Disney was the culprit!

There is no TSA guideline that prohibits passengers from transporting pins in carry-on luggage...That being said, you may save yourself the hassle of a bag check if you just check them!

    Best Wishes,
