Hiya, Katrina! Welcome to planDisney!
I’m sure you’re counting down the days until you visit Walt Disney World. You’ll be strolling down Main Street U.S.A. and enjoying all the Mickey-shaped snacks your heart desires before you can say supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
Travel times and route options will vary based on the date and time of day you’re traveling. While I can give you some general recommendations, be sure to check your preferred directions app before heading out.
From your starting point, it looks like you have two primary route options to consider. One is to take US-192 East to World Drive, and then head north, where you’ll follow the signs to the Magic Kingdom parking lot. The other option is to take FL-429 North to Western Way (exit 8), where you’ll go east towards Walt Disney World. Western Way will take you to World Drive, where you’ll turn north towards Magic Kingdom parking. At the time I’m writing this, the US-192 route is an estimated 20 minutes, while the Western Way option is approximately 18 minutes but includes tolls.
As for getting to the Polynesian Village Resort from the Magic Kingdom, your most efficient transportation option will usually be the
Monorail, which runs directly from the theme park to the hotel, or the ferry boat that runs from the park to the Transportation and Ticket Center (which is next to the hotel). To ensure you have up-to-date information, make sure to download the
My Disney Experience app to your mobile device ahead of your visit. Not only can it help you make reservations and manage your trip, but it can also provide step-by-step directions and estimated travel times for all available transportation options
I hope this info is useful, Katrina. Don’t hesitate to come right back if you have any other vacation planning questions. You’re as welcome as can be at planDisney!
Magical travels!
Matt
