What are the best options for character meals? We have a 2-year-old boy, who loves Mickey and a 5-year-old girl who loves princesses. Can we get the best of both worlds in one location?

    Hello Bob,

I wish I had a Sorcerer's hat to make your wish come true. But since I don't, it just means double the magic and twice the fun with two character meals in your future!

I am not aware of a character meal where Mickey Mouse and some of the beloved Princesses make an appearance. But that doesn't mean your family should skip out on character meals all together. I think they are a fabulous way for the kids to interact with their Disney favorites. Think of it this way: no lines, full bellies (yours and theirs!), and good photo ops!

Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort is always a big hit.

But my family likes meeting with Cinderella and Prince Charming at 1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian Resort. In my opinion, the restaurant is more intimate, so my daughter always gets one-on-one time with the characters.

And there's just something about seeing Goofy and Minnie Mouse in their swimming duds at Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club Resort. This buffet is great. Lots of selection for even the pickiest eaters.

You can see a list of all the character meals here. There's sure to be one that fits your family's needs.

    Enjoy your meal!

My family loves our Main Street in Ohio. But there's simply no comparison to Main Street U.S.A.! We don't get to Disney quite as often as I'd like, but that just means finding new ways to sprinkle Pixie Dust on our adventures! Learn More About Monina
