Ahoy, Karen!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like you're planning an unforgettable vacation for your entire pirate crew! I'm happy to give you my opinions on the easiest and most efficient ways to get your entire family safely to the Cruise Terminal at Port Canaveral!
I highly recommend using
Disney Cruise Line's Ground Transportation to and from Port Canaveral. We prefer flying in at least the day before, staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel and taking the motor coach from our Resort to Port Canaveral the morning of our cruise. Then, you can book a return trip from Port Canaveral to the Orlando International Airport or back to a Walt Disney World Resort hotel (if you wanted to extend your vacation)! Flying in the day before alleviates the stress of possibly missing your Disney Cruise due to any flight delays. With that being said, we've flown in the morning of our cruise multiple times and have made it to our cruise with no problems at all! No matter if we flew in the morning-of or a day or more before our voyage, we always use Disney Cruise Line Ground Transportation because it makes traveling so easy and fun!
If you want to add ground transfers to your reservation, just give the agents at Disney Cruise Line a call at (800) 951-3532 and they will be happy to assist you! Currently, the price of ground transfers is $35.00 per person, each way.
Karen, thanks for sailing back and asking such wonderful questions! Please visit us again with any more!
