Hello, Nancy,
I'm sorry to hear about your poor guy's situation. We have dealt with recovering injuries during our visits to the Happiest Place on Earth as well. A visit to the Disneyland Resort can still be managed and be an enjoyable time. Yes, using crutches is OK. And Cast Members at each attraction will be able to make accommodations for handling crutches as needed. On many attractions, you will even be able to ride with the crutches.
Depending on your visiting style, crutches could potentially be challenging. Our family often walks 10 or more miles a day when we visit the Disneyland Resort. Walking on crutches for mile after mile would likely be an exhausting adventure! While Disneyland Resort does offer
electric conveyance vehicles for rental, only singer-rider guests 18 years of age or older are permitted to operate them. If I may suggest, I think
renting a manual wheelchair would be a good idea. On-site rentals are available for use within the theme parks. If you wish to use a wheelchair between the parks and your hotel, you may consider renting from a third-party medical devices company in the area. As long as the guest is able to transfer from the wheelchair, virtually all of the
Disneyland Resort attractions will be accessible. For attractions with queue areas that can't accommodate wheelchairs, simply ask a cast member at a
Guest Relations location for information about obtaining a return time or for other available accommodations.
I hope the injury recovers well and that you have a magical visit! Please come by again with any more questions you may have, Nancy!
