Thanks for coming back to planDisney Shilene! Your trip will be here before you know it!
How exciting that you'll have such a large group of friends and family to dine with during your trip! It can be challenging to coordinate a table service
dining reservation for that large of a group, but it definitely can be done.
My first recommendation is to split up your party into smaller groups, either 2 or 3 smaller groups and enlist some of your friends and family members to help you make dining reservations for the same time or right around the same time. When it comes time for your reservation, do not check-in for your dining reservation through the
Disneyland app, I recommend speaking with a Cast Member at the restaurant first to see if they're able to seat you together or near each other. There are no guarantees that they are able to seat you together, but it will be much easier for them to accommodate if you have not checked-in online through the app. Our favorite table service restaurant in the Downtown Disney District is
Naples Ristorante e Bar, pizza and pasta sounds like the perfect option for a big group!
My second recommendation is to try to dine during non-peak dining hours. You could consider an early lunch before Noon, or even a late lunch around 2:00 PM. Even though it's not in the Downtown Disney District,
Great Maple Modern American Eatery at the Pixar Place Hotel would be a great place to explore for your large group! They have a delicious menu, and it's very easy to walk to from the Downtown Disney District.
There are also several great dining spots to enjoy during your trip that do not require dining reservations! Some of our favorites include
Earl of Sandwich and
Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes. The whole group could head over together, order their food, and then sit down near each other without being tied to a dining reservation time.
I hope these tips and tricks are helpful for you, Shilene! Please do not hesitate to
come back with any other questions before your wonderful trip.
Have a magical day!
Melissa
