What’s the best non-buffet dining option? Trying to avoid little germs and sneeze guards…thanks!

    Hi Chris,

It's always a pleasure discussing Disney with you, especially when the topic is food! I could seriously type for hours on the topic of delicious non-buffet dining options at Walt Disney World Resort, but I'm going to take a hint from Mickey and his pals and give you my Fab Five.

If you're celebrating something big or have time to enjoy a multi-course meal, my top signature dining experience to recommend is Toledo - Tapas, Steak & Seafood. The foodie-forward cuisine and rooftop location with picturesque views can't be beaten, which was confirmed when my server at The Hollywood Brown Derby, a signature dining location, shared that Toledo is his favorite dining destination. Here's the best part - Toledo is not technically categorized as a signature dining experience, which makes it an especially great use of a Disney Dining Plan credit.

Another favorite resort dining experience is Steakhouse 71 at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Here, too, you'll find high-quality food without signature restaurant prices. The Stack Burger on the lunch menu is hands down my favorite meal on property. The Steakhouse 71 Lounge is also a great place for a Happy Hour.

My favorite in-park restaurant to highlight is La Hacienda de San Angel in EPCOT. A taste of Mexico with a view of the World Showcase Lagoon makes this a great spot for a late dinner and fireworks.

My pick for a non-buffet character dining experience is breakfast at 'Ohana. You don't even have to choose between the freshly made Pineapple-Coconut Breakfast Bread and iconic Mickey waffles - you can have both! The hearty breakfast skillet is full of breakfast's favorite things, served with a Stitch hug and a view of Cinderella Castle.

Last but not least, my recommendation for a quick-service dining location at Walt Disney World Resort is Satu'li Canteen in Pandora - The World of Avatar at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. The plates are as beautiful as they are delicious and Boba Balls add fun and flavor to most entrées. Save time by using your My Disney Experience mobile app to place a mobile food and beverage order in advance.

I hope I've given you some food for thought as you make plans for dining in January, Chris. Your question has motivated me to find a midnight snack!

    Ta ta for now,
    Jennifer
