As Mickey says, “Hiya, pal!” Laura, I’m happy to be of some help regarding the moderate resorts at Walt Disney World Resort. I have stayed at many of the property resorts, and I will tell you that my absolute favorite is
Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter.
The smallest Walt Disney World Resort, French Quarter is quaint, quiet, and easy to get around. Unlike other moderates, French Quarter boasts a
water taxi to Disney Springs, as well as two adjacent bus stops for
Disney Bus Transportation. The Mardi Gras, jazz-playing-alligator themed Doubloon Lagoon pools are colorful, spacious and fun! There is even a waterslide for your four year old to enjoy. The charming cobblestone street and old-fashioned streetlights will have you feeling relaxed, yet festive over a plate of Beignets for breakfast.
Each standard room at Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter has two queens beds and plenty of room for a
crib or Pack N’ Play for your littlest Mouseketeer. Be sure to call ahead and reserve your crib with included sheets. I took my family of four (with a toddler) just this past holiday season and we fit comfortably in the room with plenty of space to pad around. We even ordered
in-room pizza delivery from Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory!
I hope that you enjoy your family vacation, as well as Port Orleans – French Quarter. Sweet dreams, and, “till then, Sleeping Beauty, sleep on!” ~Lindsey
