What is the best mode of transportation for a family of 5 from Orlando Int Airport to Disney Vero Beach?

Hey there, Angela! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so happy that you've stopped by with such a great vacation planning question.

Before you know it, you'll be arriving at Disney's Vero Beach Resort, ready to begin your relaxing beach vacation full of Disney fun and magic. How exciting! I will be arriving for my very first stay at Disney's Vero Beach Resort next month, and with the beautiful beach, oh-so-fun pool and waterslide, and endless Resort activities, I can't wait to do it all or do a whole lot of nothing at all! I think that's what makes a pixie-dusted stay here so perfect ... You have the option to take advantage of every amenity and amazing Resort activity, or you can just enjoy the sound of the waves amongst Disney's unmatched service, attention to detail and Guest experience. Sounds like a pixie-dusted paradise to me! Let's chat about getting you to the magic!

Since there is no shuttle bus from the Orlando International Airport to Disney's Vero Beach Resort, most Guests rent a car from the airport to take the 90-minute to two-hour drive to Vero Beach, and for a family of five, that would probably be your best bet. The Resort has complimentary self-parking and having a car would make it easy and convenient to explore the surrounding area, as well as the Resort. I spoke with the most helpful and magical Concierge at Disney's Vero Beach Resort (Seriously, the Cast Members here are phenomenal!), and he informed me that Guests who do not wish to rent a car usually use a rideshare service, such as Uber or Lyft. My family and I plan on having a car there to have the option to roam and explore the town as much or as little as we wish.

Did you know that you are visiting Disney's Vero Beach Resort at the perfect time?! It's the height of sea turtle nesting season, and you might just catch a glimpse of some baby sea turtles or their nests! Stop by the front desk when you arrive to ask about any turtle conservation activities taking place during your visit. This is such a great way for the whole family to learn about and even take part in conservation and helping an endangered species. Walt Disney loved nature and conservation, and the Disney Beach Resorts do a phenomenal job of carrying on that legacy.

Angela, I hope you have the BEST time on your magical summer vacation, and I hope you stop by any time with any vacation planning questions you may have. You've got a friend in me!

I hope to see ya real soon,

    Mandy
