What is the best meal plan for a 16 month and 3 year old (and two parents)? We will be staying for 4 days. Additionally, if I require a crib - do I need to call the hotel ahead of time? Thanks in advance!

    Hi Heather,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Mickey and Minnie Mouse will be so tickled to meet your little ones at the Walt Disney World Resort!

Since your children are younger, you would do just fine with the Disney Dining Plan. We loved this plan when our girls were younger. With one quick-service and one table-service meal plus two snacks allotted per person per night of stay, we were able to eat while on the go in the parks and enjoy a sit down meal each night.

Having said that, I am going to offer a different tip. If you enjoy food experiences, now is the time to do the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan. We started doing this plan before our girls turned 10-years old. Now that they are older, the price of the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan is quite a bit more expensive. I am so glad we experienced it while they were younger! We used it to enjoy a few signature restaurants that required two table-service meals per person. It might be nice to eat like royalty while on vacation!

You can certainly request cribs and playpens if staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. I suggest that you call and request that a note be added to your reservation and also contact the resort on the day of your arrival. Cribs are delivered based on availability. I typically do online check-in prior to arrival. When I receive a text message that our room is ready, I contact the resort to reiterate our special requests.

Heather, I trust that you are going to have an AMAZING time!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
    Donyell
