I love that Disney provides a wide variety of complimentary transportation throughout Walt Disney World, but it can be overwhelming with all the options. I'm happy to help you navigate your choices.
I'm pleased to share that direct transportation is available to and from each of the four Disney Theme Parks. From Magic Kingdom, you'll be able to take
Walt Disney World Monorail Transportation to EPCOT and
Walt Disney World Bus Service to Disney's Animal Kingdom or Disney's Hollywood Studios. If you're parked at one of these, you'll want to be mindful of each park's operating hours because transportation to and from a theme park ends approximately one hour after that park's closing.
I have a bonus tip for you to help you maximize your use of Disney transportation. If you haven't already, download the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. It will help you get anywhere you want to go within Walt Disney World. Just click on the tear drop location icon at the bottom and filter to select your destination. Then, at the top, swipe until you see "Transportation." Click that and at the bottom, click "Show List." From there, you'll see your transportation options pop up. Select then one you want to take, and on the next screen, click "Get Directions." Then, you'll put in your current location, and it will tell you how to get there using the transportation method you chose. It will also give you an approximate travel time as well. You can then go back and select a different mode of transportation if you'd like to see if there's a quicker option. I like to play around with this as I'm getting ready for my trip. It helps me be prepared once I get there.
One thing to keep in mind is that
Disney Resort hotel transportation from
Disney Springs is restricted to Guests with Disney Resort hotel, dining or experience reservations. So, if you aren't staying on property and you want to go to Disney Springs, it's best to drive or use the fun
Minnie Van service.
