Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We are delighted to answer your question regarding your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation!

First of all, your family is going to LOVE Mickey's Backyard BBQ!! The whole experience is SO much FUN! OH, and be ready to dance the night away with some of the classic Disney characters!

The best way to travel from Magic Kingdom to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort would be to sail the Seven Seas Lagoon by taking a water taxi! The water taxis typically leave in 15-minute to 30-minute intervals. The water launches are located right outside the Magic Kingdom gate, and the voyage really is so much FUN! I would allow at least 45-minutes to travel from Magic Kingdom to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.

It is recommended that you arrive at least 40-minutes before the show starts, and seating begins 20-minutes prior to the show.
