What is the best location for a group of nine that wants appartment type accommodations and is travelling with three boys (ages 4, 6, & 8). We need a place close enough for afternoon naps and then back to the parks. Thanks,

Hi Aynslie! Traveling with a large group can be a bit more difficult when looking for accommodations where you can all enjoy one location. At Disney you have a few choices with three Villa resorts or the great Treehouse Villas located at Saratoga Springs resort. These all will fit up to nine guests in a variety of sleeping arrangements. You can check each one out by looking at them at the Disney website under accommodations for five and more.

Your Villa choices will be Old Key West, Animal Kingdom, and Bay Lake Tower. The Old Key West villas are the oldest but have been refurbished and are quite nice. They are also the largest of all the Villa properties. You can walk or take a boat to Downtown Disney which makes this a unique location but you will need to take a bus to all parks. Animal Kingdom is a favorite of many guests but it is set out a distance from most parks and a bus is needed for transportation. The most convenient to a park is Bay Lake Tower which does include rooms for nine guests. You can walk to the Magic Kingdom or take the monorail and also hop on the monorail with a change to Epcot.

The Treehouse Villas are not close to a park as well but will fit nine. All of these properties mentioned will include laundry facilities inside the room as well as a full size kitchen and separate bedrooms where naps can be done in a quiet atmosphere while others visit in the living areas.

Disney transportation operates on a 15-20 minute pickup basis so it isn't too bad to take buses back and forth from the parks. If you wish to have more convenient resorts you can always book more then one room or villa and my favorite is the Beach Club Villa or the resorts in that area. You can reach two parks via walking or boat. It is tough...decisions, decisions but all of the Disney properties are wonderful!
