Hi Denise,
Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question! We on the panel love helping guests to plan magical vacations. Like you, I like to bring snacks for the children in my traveling party. This can help to keep everyone happy when they start to get hungry!
Trips including
grandparents and grandkids are so wonderful. These vacations are truly magical and create amazing memories.
My bag of choice when visiting a Walt Disney World theme park is a backpack. I like how a backpack distributes the weight of whatever I am carrying evenly across my back, which I find helps to keep my shoulders less sore. I actually have some larger backpacks for times when I need to carry lots of items, and small ones for a light day. Having a backpack with some padding on the shoulder straps is helpful.
That said, I think that the most important consideration is that whatever bag you take with you, that you are comfortable with it. My mom, who is the grandmother in our family, has traveled with us to Walt Disney World and she is not comfortable with a backpack. She prefers to carry a purse with a wide strap, one that she can carry across her body if she decides to. Be sure that whatever bag you think you will carry at Walt Disney World, that you carry it for a while at home first to be sure that it is comfortable for you.
I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Denise. Please do let us know if you have any further questions!
