What is the best IPhone app for ride wait times?

    Hello Heather!

I am totally addicted to my phone.  There are so many great apps out there that can help you make the most out of your Walt Disney World vacation.  I use two different apps for wait times and I love them both.

The first is the official (and free) Disney Parks Mobile Magic App (Powered by Verizon).  It uses GPS technology to locate characters nearby, gives you access to dining information, and accurate wait times for attractions.  Disney Parks just released a brand new app in early August called the My Disney Experience app.  It's a more detailed version of the Mobile Magic app.  The maps and graphics in the My Disney Experience app are gorgeous.  It is a new app, however, and there are still a few bugs that need to be worked out.  You really can't go wrong with either official app.

My favorite unofficial app is the "Lines" app from the folks at  I have always found their wait times to be accurate and it's easy to flip between parks to see what the wait times are like elsewhere at Walt Disney World.  The Lines app also gives you information on the best/work parks to visit in a given day and an estimated crowd level.  You do have to purchase a Touring Plans subscription in order to access all of the features, but it's money well-spent.  I renew my subscription every year.

I definitely suggest downloading all of these apps to your phone and using them during your vacation.  It's amazing how much time you'll save when you're able to plan out your next moves ahead of time, thanks to the wait times information on these apps.  Please let me know if you have any other questions, Heather!  I'd love to help you make your vacation as magical as possible.
