best hotel accommodations for children ages 1-7

Hi Steph! Welcome to planDisney! That’s such a great question! I’m glad you brought it to us! The Disney Resorts Collection has resort hotels in the value, moderate, and deluxe categories! I’m going to give a few recommendations based upon the ages of your little Mouseketeers!

Let’s start in the value category! Immerse your little ones in the magic of the “most Disney” of all the resort hotels! Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is perfect for kids of all ages, but particularly the littlest Disney fans! Colorful, larger-than-life “statues” of some of our favorite Disney characters can be found in all sections – The Litte Mermaid, The Lion King, Cars, and Finding Nemo – of this perfect resort! I also like that this resort is connected to the Disney Skyliner, making travel to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT very convenient! That is a great benefit when traveling with little ones! This resort also has great pools, which is so important when traveling with kids!

In the deluxe category, I recommend Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa! This resort is connected to the Monorail which will whisk you away to Magic Kingdom Park! In fact, when you board the Monorail the very next stop is Magic Kingdom Park! That is so nice when getting the little ones to and from this popular park! The resort also has a great “splash and play” area for little kids and a fun pool slide!

You will also find Disney’s Yacht Club and Disney’s Beach Club Resorts in the deluxe category! These adjoining resorts share a resort pool that is so impressive that it needed its own name – Stormalong Bay! In fact, with a sand-bottom, water slide, and lazy river, this pool is more like a mini-water park than pool! My kids have very fond memories of that resort because of the pool!

In the moderate resort, I recommend Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort! Like Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, this hotel is linked to the Disney Skyliner making transportation easier when traveling to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT! This resort truly feels like a relaxing Caribbean vacation for the whole family!

There you have it, Steph! A few top recommendations for Walt Disney World Resort hotels that are best for traveling with little ones! I hope these recommendations are helpful! Please feel free to come back to planDisney as you continue planning!

    Dreams do come true!
