Heigh-ho, heigh-ho, it's off to Walt Disney World you go, Ben! It sounds like you are planning a fantastic adventure with more travelers than Snow White and friends. In my opinion, when it comes to vacation, the more the merrier, so let's get to it!
With a party of nine, you will have several options for accommodations at a variety of price points. Because pricing varies based on travel dates, ticket selections, and room type within a resort, once your dates have been finalized, I recommend calling (407) 939-5277 to discuss exact numbers with a Cast Member or inputting travel dates into the
Walt Disney World website.
If your entire party would like to reside in the same room, you will want to book a two-bedroom villa in a
Deluxe Villa Resort. This home away from home style accommodation provides sleeping space for up to nine guests, two full bathrooms, in-room laundry, and a full kitchen. While this won't be the lowest-priced option, it would offer plenty of square footage as well as an incredible array of amenities. My family enjoys the spacious living areas in the villas at
Disney's Old Key West Resort when traveling as a large group. Check out
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village; the two-bedroom villas here offer a third full bathroom.
Should you choose a more traditional type of resort hotel, your party will need to split up between two or three rooms. At the Deluxe Resort level,
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort has connecting studio villas, which means you could have a common door that joins two rooms.
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is more moderately priced and also offers adjoining rooms. My family and I stayed in connecting rooms here, and we loved being able to put napping children in one room and congregate in the other. It was perfect! The addition of the
Disney Skyliner makes this resort a fantastic option.
Disney's Pop Century Resort is a great choice for budget-minded travelers, and also provides access to the Disney Skyliner. I stayed here just recently and was impressed by the refurbished, modern resort rooms. As soon as I left, I booked my stay for next year!
My husband and I are teachers, and we frequently visit Walt Disney World during the summer months. We enjoy the long theme park and pool hours that are usually offered during this bustling vacation season, but if we weren't tied to the school calendar, I would love to visit in early to mid-May. The crowds are lower since most schools are still in session, and the weather is somewhat milder. You might be lucky enough to catch some of the
Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival.
Ben, I hope this helps get the planning process started for you and your crew. If there is anything else we at planDisney can do to make the journey even more magical, please come see us again.
Have a great, big, beautiful tomorrow!
