Hey Cynthia!
Welcome to planDisney!
I really love an authentic New Orleans-inspired lunch or dinner down on the Bayou!
Blue Bayou Restaurant is one of our favorites and the ambiance cannot be beaten. It’s such a calm and serene setting, and my kids really love seeing guests as they embark on their Pirates of the Caribbean Adventure. If you didn’t already know, there have been some new items added to the
menu. You can now order their signature Hurricane Cocktail, wine or beer! They still have the classics like Chicken Gumbo, and the Monte Cristo sandwich and you’ll even find a special Disney100 Celebration Cake.
This unique dining experience is very popular for guests visiting the Disneyland resort so getting a
dining reservation can be difficult. The first thing you’re going to want to do is book your dining reservation exactly 60 days out. Since you have a large group, the best way to make a dining reservation is to split your group up and try to get multiple dining reservations at around the same time. Typically, the restaurant will still be able to accommodate you all together and this is what restaurants have recommended I do with a large group. There is a risk that they may not be able to see you all together but at least you would all still be able to dine there. You could do a group of eight guests and a group of seven guests, but my recommendation would be to do three groups of five guests. If you don’t find a dining reservation the first time you look, I encourage you to keep checking up until your trip. A lot of times, guests cancel dining reservations and you may be able to grab one at a time until you have enough spots for everyone.
Well Cynthia, I’m sending some Pixie Dust your way and have my fingers crossed.
Remember, always believe in the Magic!
