Greetings from planDisney, Gretchen! It's my pleasure to welcome you to this platform of planners where we are more excited than
Goofy conducting a train to help guests be the engineer of a perfect vacation day!
Gretchen, I recently booked a stay for 2022 at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and can't wait to kick back and enjoy this flagship resort! Now, another one of my favorite activities at the Walt Disney World Resort is exploring other resorts on our "rest day," so I'm happy to chat with you about transportation to
Disney's Beach Club Resort.
Depending on how much time you're willing to spend traveling and your budget, I have a few suggestions. One option using Disney transportation is to hop aboard a bus to Disney's Hollywood Studios and then instead of heading into the park, board a gondola (the Disney Skyliner) to EPCOT.
The Disney Skyliner station will drop you off at the International Gateway of EPCOT which is only a short walk away from Disney's Beach Club Resort!
Another suggestion (one my family has tested out many times) is to use
Disney Springs as your
bus transfer station. When we have a "split stay" with two different Disney Resorts Collection hotels or just planning breakfast or dinner at a new location, we'll first visit Disney Springs for some shopping (or maybe cookies) and then switch buses to the next resort.
Finally, Gretchen, if you have an early morning breakfast reservation and might be short on time, you're welcome to use a rideshare service like uber or lyft (at your own cost). If we're trying to cut down travel time (or when some Mouseketeers are having a sleepy morning), this might be the easiest option.
Gretchen, I hope this helps as you're planning out your non-park day at the Walt Disney World Resort. If you have any additional questions, please come back and see us hEAR at planDisney!
Wishing you a pixie dusted visit,
Lauren
