Hi Marie,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We love it when wonderful guests like yourself return to visit us with new questions. It looks like your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation is truly right around the corner. You must be getting so excited!
'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is a favorite with my family and friends. If you haven't been before, be sure you go on an empty stomach. They make sure you do not leave wanting more! The best method of transportation from Disney's Hollywood Studios to
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is the
bus. I would allow 45 minutes to an hour to make your reservation. Buses arrive approximately every 20 minutes then depending on traffic it could take 20 minutes to get to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. Once you arrive at the resort, you will need to go to the Grand Ceremonial House and make your way upstairs to 'Ohana.
The best method of transportation from
Disney's Magic Kingdom Park to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is a tie between the Monorail and the Ferry. The
Monorail will stop at Disney's Contemporary Resort and the Transportation and Ticket Center before continuing on to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. When you arrive via Monorail, you arrive on the second floor of the Grand Ceremonial House so it's a quick walk to check-in for 'Ohana. If the Monorail is down, my next choice would be the Ferry. The
Ferry travels between Disney's Magic Kingdom Park and the Transportation and Ticket Center. Once you arrive at the Transportation and Ticket Center there is a path on your right to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. It's about a ten-minute walk to the Grand Ceremonial House. I would give yourself at least 30 to 45 minutes for either of these options.
You could also take a Resort Launch. These make a loop from Disney's Magic Kingdom Park to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort then back to Disney's Magic Kingdom Park. I love the Resort Launches but they are smaller boats and more open to the elements. If you take a Resort Launch you arrive at the Marina at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and will have a short walk to the Grand Ceremonial House. I would allow 45 minutes for this option as well.
Whichever method you choose, I hope you have a delicious, memorable meal. Marie, thank you for visiting us with another great question. I hope you'll let us know if we can help you with any other questions!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Amy H.
