What is the best way to getting last minute dining reservations?

Hello Alison and thanks for asking the Disney Parks Moms Panel such an important question about getting a last minute dining reservation.
As I'm sure you're already aware the best possible way to secure a reservation at the most popular Walt Disney World Resort dining locations is by making Advanced Dining Reservations up to 180 days ahead of your arrival at Walt Disney World Resort.  However I totally understand that it's not always either practical nor even possible to plan so far in the future.
My top tip for securing last minute Disney dining reservations is to keep on trying either online or by speaking to a helpful Cast Member by dialling the Dining Reservations number found in this Walt Disney World Resort Phone Directory.
Or whist actually at Walt Disney World Resort, another hot tip is to simply walk-up to any Disney dining location and enquire about on the spot availability because you never just know when a little Disney magic is going to happen!
Happy planning and have a great Disney day.
